The Oregon Department of Education has established standards for English Language proficiency for grades K-8. The standards address Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening.

Literacy, Grades 6-8

Upper grades use language arts curriculums which supports students’ critical thinking skills via a multitude of interdisciplinary approaches. The following curriculums are used in grades 6-8 at TRAILS:
