Tuesday at Bellview Elementary was extra sweet, as we rolled out the 'Woot Woot Wagon,' delivering treats to our fabulous classified staff! A roaming festival of gratitude, filled with snacks, smiles, and a little bit of magic, made its way through the halls, bringing joy and appreciation directly to our hardworking team. It's just one of the ways we say a huge thank you to those who help make our school a wonderful place for our children to learn and grow. #ClassifiedAppreciationWeek

Februarys community assembly was fantastic! We had singing from the Bellview choir, dances that students made up in PE, student awards for empathy, Bellview Bees teaching us about Friendship Skills, 5th grade leading us in the Bellview song, and cleanest classroom award going to Mrs. Preskenis' class! What a great day to be a Bobcat! 💙💛

National School Counseling Week, Feb 5-9. Please join Bellview in celebrating and appreciating our Child Development Specialist, Student Advocate and Behavior Health Specialist this week (and all weeks!). Our counseling team works hard to support all our students with the development of social-emotional, problem-solving and sound decision-making skills. They provide critical guidance and support of the structures and practices that support our children’s mental and emotional well-being and by extension, that of our staff and parents. Thank you, team!!! Julie Claycomb: Student Advocate (5 days/week) Julie has worked at Bellview since 2012 and became the Student Advocate in 2020. She has taken on a lead role in this position and regularly offers support and guidance to some of her newer colleagues at other sites. Julie spends much of her day supporting students who need some additional support and guidance around friendship, play, and self-regulation. She also runs the Check-in/Check-out goal/star card program, is responsible for the Weekend Food Program and helps run the Junior Coaches and Kindness Club programs. Outside of school Julie enjoys snuggling with her dog Pippin and loves to travel with her husband. During the past two years they have explored Greece (2022) and Ireland (2023). She also enjoys going to concerts and is looking forward to seeing Green Day in September!
