Varsity Head Coach:
Nicholas Hall

Nicholas Hall (26) is entering his fourth season as head baseball coach of the Ashland Grizzlies. The three time All Southern Sky Infielder and former 1st team All State 5A Shortstop returned back to his Alma Mater after a successful collegiate career at NCAA Division III Pacific Lutheran University. Hall started all four years at PLU for then head coach Geoff Loomis, who is currently the head coach at NCAA DI University of Portland.
After graduating with a degree in Applied Physics and a minor in Mathematics, Hall completed his Master’s degree at the University of Oregon in Applied Physics, with an emphasis in Optics. After landing a job in the Rogue Valley, Hall began coaching in 2015 as the Grizzlies JV Coach. The next season, in his first year as the Varsity head coach, Hall led the Grizzlies to the quarterfinals of the OSAA playoffs losing to eventual state runner-up Hood River Valley.
Hall has helped develop 11 All Conference players and 3 All State players in his short tenure at the helm. Highlighting that list are current University of Oregon pitcher Peyton Fuller, Nick Sanderson who plays for NCAA DII Davis and Elkins in West Virginia and Shea Scott who recently signed with De Anza State College in California.
As a player at AHS, Hall was the starting 2nd basemen for the 2008 Ashland State Championship team as well as the starting shortstop and leadoff hitter for the 2010 State Runner–up club. In addition to playing for PLU, Hall played on many summer baseball teams including the Medford Mustangs, Southern Oregon River Dawgs, Medford Rogues and in the WCL Portland League where he earned All Star recognition.
Hall played for Ashland baseball coaching legend Don Senestraro, who continues to assist the Grizzlies as the team’s hitting instructor. Senestraro has been a part of AHS baseball since 2005. Also assisting is Daryn McLennan, who is entering his fifth year with the program.
