The CTE club is having a speaker come in during TCB today to talk about career options and opportunities in manufacturing, engineering tech, and entrepreneurial business ventures. If you would like to attend, you MUST request a TCB pass from Mr. Miller or another teacher before 3rd period. Tonight, November 19th, the AHS Jazz Band will be performing their first concert of the year. The performance will take place at 7pm in the Mountain Avenue theater. This event is free and open to the general public. Please be sure to tell your friends and family. Your attendance and support would be greatly appreciated. Witch Hunters Haunted House
Come see Arthur Miller's The Crucible, directed by Caroline Shaffer and Shaun Hennessy. Set in Salem in 1692, this tale of witch trials warns of the power of mass hysteria and the failures of a theocracy in earlier America. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults. November 8th though November 17th.

Announcements - October 24, 2024 Do you go by a different name than what we have in PowerSchool? The yearbook would like to make sure we use the name that you prefer. Please stop by the AHS office for paperwork to submit a name change form to reflect the name that you would like in the yearbook. The last day to do so is Friday, October 25th. Students, get ready for a fun Fall Field Day on Monday, October 28th! This is a half day and students will start the day in 2nd period. Grab-and-go lunches will be available at 12pm, after Field Day activities, and busses will leave at 12:40 PM. Keep an eye out for the Field Day flyers to learn more about activities happening around campus. This is still an attendance required day. Student drivers: please remember to be good neighbors and citizens when using the student parking lot and be mindful of your vehicle's volume control. Upcoming College Visits:  Come learn more about the unique opportunities available at these schools. If you have a class during a college info session and would like to attend, please get a note from your teacher before coming to the College & Career Center. Student Conferences are happening 10/29 and 10/30! How to schedule 15 minute conferences with individual teachers: - Log in to your PowerSchool parent portal - Click "Schedule Student Conference" button - Step 1: Pick a date - Step 2: Select an open time - Step 3: Click the "schedule" button - Step 4: Click the "schedule student conference" button to view or cancel scheduled time For step-by-step instructional pictures, please look at our grizz-o-gram, located on the AHS website. Conferences will be held through Zoom. If you would like an in-person conference, please reach out to your student's teacher. Conferences are not required but encouraged!
